Choppernite 46, The Nitemare Before Christmas ride, Wednesday 12/17/14
Simialr to our Halloween ride BUT IT'S OWN event! Freaky evil with a holiday theme. ALL religions welcome, NONE will be insulted as long as all are tolerant of some humor. Worth noting, we have NEVER had a problem with this. Helmets and lights HIGHLY encouraged. Brakes on your bike HIGHLY encouraged. If you INSIST on riding brakeless, PLEASE ride in the back. (Fixed, I’ll call 'with brakes' because I know, Flintstone brakes (shoes) are NOT brakes.) If you insist on doing tricks on a group ride, you need to grow up. It's not the night for it.
ANYone on ANYbike is welcome but FREAKBIKES HIGHLY encouraged. It's not unheard of for Freakbikes to get preferential parking, Freakbike rider only minigames etc. Don't have one? Borrow one. Buy one. Or, WHOA(!) MAKE one!
Also, again, do NOT park at the Greek Church. The church has shared with me we are not welcome to park there through NO fault of ours. Business decision with the restaurant across the street and church business that night. Please respect the church that has been so good to us in years pass.
Questions? Hit me here.

Do we meet at the Greek Church, & if so, what time?

Meet up is around 6:30 or 7:00pm. Different people need more or less time to get their wheels on.
Ride out is 7:30 sharp. Every Choppernite.
We meet on Washington Rd, in the street. Corner of Washington Rd and Southern Blvd. It's a very calm street.
No parking at the Greek Church. Street ok, but none of the lots, gravel, paved, front, back, etc. Through NO fault of our own. And they asked nicely so I see we oblige out of the respect they have given our group over the years.

Get a couple of soft tacos from the truck across the street from the Meet-up. They will keep you going all the way home. :-)

Last nights Choppernite had everything a Choppernite should EXPECT! EXCEPT the return of the Junky Lemon, we had the Son of Bike of the Nite Cup return, a minigame with more participants than complainers, enough corkies to FEEL safe, everyone leaving Southern and Washington on time< the list goes on. Some of the hero's of Choppernite, Wetpaint for ALWAYS asking what he can do to help, J-Dogg corking, Lee, Junkman, Josh, Trevor, Javi, Im sure there was more, corking for us too. Rudy from Real Deal in Jupiter bringing pizza and some swag for our minigame, THAT was cool! Tina for returning with the cup with some NEW additions! ALL of our minigame particiapants, they really know how to have a good time. PalmWolf and Laurie Wolf for bringing egg nog (wink wink!). We had 131 riders for Nitemare Choppernite. Im NOT looking to grow Choppernite but not trying to keep it small either. 131 is a healthy number showing that we lose some, we gain some fans. Lou gets a NICE round of applause winning FOot Down as our mini game. ON a geared bike! I have pics of MOST of this, but its getting late. Ill share em, promise. YOU share yours here too please for ALL to see.
I want to thank Rudy AGAIN for showing with Real Deal swag! A year or three ago I asked and the FBM said NO to sponsorship for Choppernite. BUT if someone shows up with swag in hand, who am I to turn them away?!? What a great guy! Id loan him a Freakbike to ride for this event BUT he's only 4'11". HA hA! Kidding. He's 4'9". THANKS Rudy! ANd NICE helmet!
Ill have a poll up SOON for our next Choppernite theme. NEXT Choppernite will be (Remember, THIRD Wednesday in every THIRD month! So...) March 18th, 2015. Keep eyes out!
And I'll have my pics up here too.
THANKS to EVERYONE TOP to BOTTOM that MAKES Choppernite what we have!

Tina was there to hand BACK over the Son of Bike of the Nite Cup BACK to KennyP with this being ANOTHER of his bikes worthy of being a Bike of the Nite! Tina didn't even know anything about the bike or rider (it happens). KennyP was a VERY deserving winner AGAIN as he build some Freaky stuff. BUT it WOULD be nice to get MORE Freakbikes out there. If a sponsor shows up with a prize JUST for our Freakbikes PLEASE lmk. AND heres a shot of the Freakbike riders, from the train tracks on Clematis St, as we were stopped by a red light.

Getting some pre-ride fuel at the Taco Truck. Getting the bikes all lit up ready to ride. It was very nice to see Jack The Bike Man on the ride. Nice Red Holiday Stretch Riders and bikes looking all dressed up looking good. A 6 month old baby on his 2nd ride! First ride when he was just 2 months old. Loves the rides!
