i have 1 it sucks but works the controls are not great and max is used most of the time it has a 10% duty cycle one 1 minuet of use off 10 minets or it overheats and takes hours to cool my Lincon is 1000 times better and cost 5 + times as much! you don't need that shield at all on either machine unless you use gas! rat fink was a harbor freight build 10 dollar gringers 90 buck welder 1/8th inch thick cutting wheels and 1 thick grinder wheel!

For us old Freaks ...... HF was the great introducer! Lots of swearing, bleeding and burning using those tools. I stepped up to a Lincoln flux core this last summer .... BIG DIFFERENCE! Gotta love HF for offering us the cheap stuff to get started and learn on!

amen brother i still use them on down and dirty jobs i don't want to kill my good tools on they hang for a bit but if you do something for a living you buy the best you can they are very nice to learn on i still have many H,F in my shop there guarantee was the best ive seen for the price i bent a wrench !the guy said bring it back and gave me another even a grinder i killed and told him i will buy a new one! he asked what was wrong ,the switch was intermittent he said go grab a new one like that! good guys!
