This Sunday August 23. There is a car cruise on Hines Drive. This is on the west side of Detroit area. Hines is a nice wide sholder for ridding bikes. It is very nice for ridding any day and I have rode it. So it is a nice ride and seeing Classic cars for a view. It has been good the last few years. If we had a few people ridding we could have a area to meet and gather. If there is interest post it here. Another item is the Woodward cruise just happened I was ridding my bikes around there. What about getting a trailer and displaying some of out bikes?? Any interest on that???

Sorry Snow, I just now saw this. I've been in the midst of school work and haven't been on here much. Did you go? How was it? I would have loved to have gone.

Chainsaw, No big deal!! I did go to the Hines Cruise and it was a nice day!! I took my Car down there for the morning and about 2pm I went home and brought a couple of bikes and rode most of the way. 8-10 miles. But it was looking like rain so I headed to the truck and about 1 mile from the truck I got wet.. There was some bikes mostly stock a few fat tires bikes. a couple of customs bikes but not many. I rode my Manta Ray for the first time!! Went well. Might need a few tweaks but OK.. More on that later.. On Woodward I rode my stacked chopper and I got quite a few comments on it. Not sure how many people you have on this site.. I was hoping for more in Detroit area. There is lots of bikes on Woodward. We should have a trailer that has a bunch of bikes straped on it and cruise with it have a banner with freakbike and rartrod bikes web site. Need a classic truck?? Just a thought if we could get a few people to help set it up. With the interest of bikes on the rise and Slow Roll. ect.. How did Owosso go?? Later

Sound like Hines was a good time. We need to try and make it out there next year. So much to do in August and September. I've always loved Manta Rays. Definitely on my want list. Woodward has been a sore spot for years. Some guys go done, but no matter how we've tried to coordinate as a group, some of the guys won't give an answer. It almost seems that they want to go down on their own, so they stand out more. Then they come back and wonder why nobody else was down there.
I got no problem in going as a group and maybe having a truck/banner for the group. Don and Ron Whitt have gone down and done this to represent themselves and Don's business but not the group. The last few years, they have had a lot going on and they've either pulled away from the FBN stuff or only attend the stuff that is close to their home.
A lot of the guys from the Detroit area are still around and ride in SlowRoll, but most have gone over to FaceBook and the groups on there. Mainly because its faster and more convenient. supposedly.
I do like the idea of getting a trailer setup for displays and parades. We use to do that, but in the past couple of years people have either lost interest in the hobbies or can't make it out for the event. I'm hoping to revamp the whole FreakBike Nation over the next few months and try to get things back to the old days. We need to get everybody more communicative.
Owosso was a great time. We missed Saturdays ride due to rain and a late start, but Sat. and Sun. was a blast. We rode the new bike trail from Owosso to Ovid and back. Very nice!
The Bike show/ride was full of more customs/freaks than ever before. I didn't get any pics, but there were quite a few taken. I'm gonna try to post some over the next couple of weeks, before school starts back up.
Just a quick heads up ........ Bike Show on Sept. 20th in Hamburg Michigan. I'll be posting the details late tonight/early morning. Stay tuned!
