Here is a little tool I made to stand up some of my bikes when they do not have a kick stand. I made it summer of 2013. I was working a few of the 20 inchers and did not have kickstands. I made it so it will cradel the hub. It works on 20 's for sure. I have tryed 26 inches and it sometimes works on them. Now I just tryed to put in the 4 inch wide tire (OCC) and it will not fit in the stand. So do I modify or make another one?? Does any body have a bike repair stand they made?? There is a lot on youtube I have seen. Since I have a wide style of bikes I need to be adjustable. I like the ones using a adjustable long jaw clamp. Weld a couple of angle irons on the jaws and pad them. Weld that to a pipe to put on a stand or clamp in my vise. That sounds like it may be the way to go.
