Our next Choppernite ride"Carnival Freak Show", is, as usual, on a third Wednesday of a third month, which will be... 

Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Old school riders new this. Meet up is around 6:30 or 7:00pm. Different people need more or less time to get their wheels on.
7:30pm ride out SHARP!!!


You do NOT have to have a chopperbike bike or even a FREAKBike but it MIGHT HELP! ANYone on ANY bike is welcome but FREAKBIKES HIGHLY encouraged. It's not unheard of for Freakbikes to get preferential parking, Freakbike rider only minigames etc. Don't have one? Borrow one. Buy one. Or, WHOA(!) MAKE one!


Helmets are HIGHLY encouraged but kids under 16 need a helmet as required by law.


LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED as per sate law when riding after dark.



Brakes on your bike HIGHLY encouraged. If you INSIST on riding brakeless, PLEASE ride in the back. (Fixed, I’ll call 'with brakes' because I know. Flintstone brakes (shoes) are NOT brakes.) If you insist on doing tricks on a group ride, you need to grow up. It's not the night for it.


We meet on Washington Rd, in the street. A little South of the corner of Washington Rd and Southern Blvd. It's a very calm street.


No parking at the Greek Church. Street parking is ok, but none of the lots, gravel, paved, front, back, etc. Through NO fault of our own. And they asked nicely so I say we oblige out of the respect they have given our group over the years.





Again, ride out is 7:30 sharp. Every... Choppernite.

Might be a bit chilly at 55 degrees, buy hey, it's not snowing!!

While it was a bit on the chilly side, it was still a beautiful night. 
For those who wonder we left the Greek Church for the first time with ALL Freakbikes! As we rounded the corner onto Southern heading North we saw Lou waiting for us at the light. SO it was Freakbikes... and Lou! He's awesome though. 
When we got to the Ghost of the Old Library we all took turns test riding Lous Cannondale Lefty. IT was the odd bike out among Freakbikes. 
The winner of the Bike of the Nite Cup for Choppernite 53 NEVER did more than pick up the phone to get the trophy to its next owner Tikitoebeats. 
Tikitoebeats had to go to his shop, the night before to get it. SO for future reference, if someone wins the trophy, and does not exude suitable effort to bring it to the next Choppernite, and then does not exude suitable effort to get it to its rightful owner, they may win the cup again, but they may NOT take it. Getting this cup back was as disrespectful as the cups tradition IS respectful. The principle frustrated me. Now moving on...

Tikitoebeats was awarded the trophy by me, in previous winners absence. Now SHE awarded the Bike of the Nite cup to me! So I am the current winner of the Bike of the Nite Cup with my T-Tall tall bike. 

Baby Gorilla awarded Lou the Junkman Cup seeing how Lou did the MOST with the LEAST to make his bike the Freakiest. If you were there it would make sense.

Our mini game was going to be judging carnival acts but no one got in the theme. SO we improvised and did sudden death paper rock scissors. Baby Gorilla won a bike tune up by me, WITH parts included...if i have em...and i probably do... Whats weird about it is he usually comes to me with his bike problems anyway. BUT h'll be pleased with the deeper detail I will put into the bike he hands me. 

Voting on next Choppernite theme will be up in a week or less, with the poll closing ONE MONTH after it opens. If you think your vote won't count, last Choppernite (this one i'm posting about) was decided with only one (mine) vote. No one else voted. So your vote could be the only one.
