"And when he reached the New World, Cortez burned his ships."
For the last 2+ years turnout for Choppernite has dwindled. For more than a few it was just me. Not complaining because I still had a good ride. My efforts need to reflect interest. To my many armchair critics, this post is to inquire about hatred, disdain, interst, love on the topic of making Choppernite annually. I'm not looking for blame to be passed to the maybe 2 people to vote contrary to what armchair critics want, but to enquire about the opinion on the topic. Please vote, and if you have an idea on another option, or a completely different opinions please comment. For the sake of voting, I don't care if you ride every Choppernite, have/don't have a Freakbike, live in Melbourne, are dead, in jail, are a hologram. Just let me know what you think. And if you're wondering, I voted for annually. If voting says quarterly, I might still make it annually. This is purely garnering interest on the topic. So while I DO WHAT I WANT, I respectfully ask for opinion and feedback before I make drastic decisions about OUR group. To those 2 people that would wonder, Halloween Choppernite would be our annual ride, if it goes there.
TIII
Poll closes, January 16th 2022, which is a shadow more than 2 months before the following Choppernite on March 16th, 2022.

Well. One vote to keep all the same, but NO commentary to help me decide.
So with only 1 vote other than my own feelings, and zero input of commentary, Choppernite is now annual.
We'll have Choppernite #75 and then Halloween Choppernite in October which will be # 76, then it will be annual. Halloween Choppernite will be our annual Nite to show what we've been working on.
With no discussion, no input, little turn out*, one other person besides myself contributing to a theme vote (MAYBE), annual seems the direction our group should go.
Contributing to this downgrade is the Freakbike Militia members who manage/run/own/[whatever] the Facebook, instagram, yahoo, yelp, [whatever] pages AND DON'T RIDE [bigger type] OR READ THESE PAGES thus offering zero or worse WRONG information.
Junkman and the Hollyweird gang get a VERY honorable mention for continuing the Freakbike ride way by riding monthly an easy predictable fun route that is attainable and doable by sooooo many. Love it.
If any rider has any problem with any of this, please speak up. I'm only steering OUR ship.
TIII
MUCH love to those few (not a slam) who still showed up for Chopernite.

After a Choppernite ride I have an hour's car ride home to reflect on the night's ride. I think of all the great people I met and the amazing bikes that came to the ride.
The quarterly rides were just frequent enough to get to know the regular riders and look forward to the next ride.
Thanks to TIII for leading us safely thru town and leading the mini games. And thank you for treating me as an honored guest. The Junkman cup was always fun to pick the next winner.
The rides alway left me wanting more time to spend with the riders, that's where HollyWEIRD was born. An afternoon once a month to spend riding and talking to other builders.
The monthly Saturday rides have grown to include a Miami, Deerfield, Stuart and Jupiter rides. Led by locals to show off their hometowns. Lots of ppportunities to see cool people and drool over awesome bikes.
I would have voted for an every day Choppernite ride, That would be heaven!
Hope to see you next Choppernite!
Junkman

Guys I am so sorry to hear about it going annually, but completely understand. The fact that I am just coming on the board to comment shows that I am one of the riders who contributed to it's decline, and for that, I am deeply sorry. I will be there with bells (or other) on for the Halloween ride, and hope that maybe in the future there will be renewed interest in starting more regularly once more. It is hands-down one of my favorite outings (when work does not have me committed :( ). A massive thanks to TIII and Junkman and everyone for having hosted this for so long. See you in the cooler climes guys.

Your reply is appreciated Elizabeth.
To keep it positive, (AND an extreme) if the ride was only me, i'd have a great time. If ONE other rider shows up, it just gets better.
My saying: 'We'll have a good time without you, but more fun if you're there.' This eliminates any guilt if someone cant show, and installs appreciation for those who COULD make it.
