Philphine posted in 2009 on FBN .....
"Someone on ratrod once asked that I take more pics the next time i stretch a bike, so there's a build thread there, but here is a pic of the finished bike (except for paint, but I hardly ever paint them) along with a comparision pic of a 26" stretch."
"I tried to make it proportionally smaller. I even had an 18" wheel for the front where my 26" use a 20" front. worked out pretty good, so I'm keeping an eye out for 24" cruisers (and a few more 18" wheels) to make about 3 more eventually."

Chainsaw .... "Swoopy-cool! I liked it over on RRB but I love it here! Man 18s are super hard to find in our area. We usually go to Canada and steal them outta YYZMEC's backyard! Thanks for sharing!"
Philphine ..... "I do know where one more 18" wheel is, and my nephew hardly rides his bike anyway.... I can be patient. those 24" cruisers seem to be just as hard to find anyway. I do plan to try this style again, but drop down one more size. if I can find a cheap black friday krate I'm going to try a stretch stingray, and see if I can keep the banana seat and apes."
Philphine ..... "I haven't been on ratrod much lately, and I've been looking at this bike and thinking up an idea for it, so I'm going to float most of the build posts over to keep the original build and what I try later together. Plus it's the only time I've completely explained the stretch I've done most, so I wanted it over here."
Philphine .... "yes, you may have noticed i have project a.d.d."
Philphine .... "At one time I told someone I'd try to take more pics the next time I do a cruiser stretch, but I haven't come across a regular old cruiser frame since I said it. I've been seeing this 24" at a local thrift store for a while and considering a smaller scale stretch try. they dropped the price some so I picked it up.
I just gonna try to scale down what I usually do. don't know if that will work exactly, but I figure it's not rocket science so it ought to still work. preliminarily I mean to cut 2" off the bottom tube I usually use, and I happen to have an 18" wheel for the front where I normally use a 20" on the 26" stretches."
we'll see what happens.

a disclaimer i meant to add at the beginning.
i've said before, this design isn't my idea. this is the bike i tried to copy, from atomic zombie
www.atomiczombie.com/gallery/sammyharris/chopper.htm
i've also seen one other person who makes them about the same, but i saw those after i tried this, so i'm just making that clear. it's not really my design, but it works good for me.
i also don't have a frame jig. the couple times i tried to make one it came out more crooked than the bike i was trying to make. i need to make a decent one eventually, but this is just eyeball and tape measurer and hope it works.
ok, we now return to our unsceduled and disjointed build.....
