RawCustomz posted on the old FBN board in 2013 .... "Had an idea, looked it up and couldn't find anyone who has done this yet so I started. Come to find out a bike was done for the kid on The Adams family show but it never got aired. Other than that the other thing I have seen is someone actually did rims so instead of spokes they used chain links which I imagine was pretty hard to do but he got them to work." "This is the frame I started with." "Later on in the project I bought this bike for $10, I needed matching wheels, new bearings and a fork to true the wheels after I painted them and where else would I spend that little for so much?" "I drew out what I wanted my frame to look like than placed the pieces from the red bike in thier places. I wish I would have done the seat differently but oh well."

RawCustomz .... "My son helped me screw the chain to the piece of MDF." "Than I started welding each link. Took some time and jacked up my power bill, my wife was like "what the hell"." "Here is how the first(yeah 1st) try came out. As you can see I got rid of most of the seat post and replaced center support with a chain. This version was very unstable and the thing kept twisting and chain kept popping off, no good at all."

RawCustomz ..... "Here is my 2nd atempt I removed center chain and added two chains one front one rear trying to stiffen it up some Still no good still kept twisting the frame. As you can see I even tried a different fork." "Here is my 3rd and final atempt and if it didnt work I was going to consider it yard art. But it did work. I moved the seat back and used the bent fork plus made it real stiff from the crank to the rear tire. Now its ridable." "I have since broke it down a started painting it. Frame is satin black and other parts will be a gloss red."

RawCustomz ..... "Continuing: "I took apart both wheels and pained them and polished them a little different than I have seen before Red on the inside and polished side wall Wouldn't be a tough bike with out some beefy tires." "Heres how it looks today." "I just welded the handle bars yesterday so they arent painted yet and I relized the neck im using is to small to hold the chain bars so figuring that out as we speak."

Comments ..... Junkman ...... "Lookin Good! Way to go! Chop On!" Philphine .... "looks like the 3rd time was the charm." TIII ..... "I know of a chain frame made here on the East coast. It was strong but SOOOOooo heavy. It was welded 5/8's link. YOU seemed to takle this chain frame problem with a bit more forethought. Yours turned out pretty sweet! I like the paint!" RawCustomz ...... "Well its been a while but I thought the bars would work but they are to flimsy(sp) although they looked cool I gave up on them Here they were." "So I am going to mod these bars instead, going to change out the middle bar add chain and have hook hanging from it. I have so much more control with these than the others and they are sturdy as can be." "I am also going to extend the chain cover to touch frame and I added the kick stand." Comments ..... Chainsaw ..... "How the heck did I miss this whole thread! :o Pretty wild! It's a shame the bars are giving you problems. They're my favorite part! Good color choice for the bike. Thanks RAW."
