I had to make the toughest decision of my life today...and had to lay to rest my best friend of the past 14 years. Diamond was my first dog and my original bike riding partner. You are gonna be missed Buddy!!!

Hang in there man, I know what you're going through. I lost my German Shepperd when I got hurt. They told me the bad news after I got out of ICU. His name was also Buddy (12 years old)

My condolences. What a beautiful dog.
You'll be together again someday. For now he'll keep an eye on you from above.

I too can relate, and know how tough it is to loose a four legged part of the family. I lost my Black Lab Bear to cancer when he was bout 8 years old, and I have a dog that is about 14 now, and he is really starting to show his age. I am dreading the inevitable.
You have my condolances.

Tony, I've had several pets over the years and have been lucky to have them with me, but it's always a big loss when they've passed away. My last dog, Fuzzy, was my girl. She ate, slept and spent every moment that she could with me. She helped me cope with alot of hardships through out my life and never hesitated in being there for me. Her loss devistated me and for close to a year after her death I wore her name tag on a chain around my neck. I still keep her picture, as well as both our cats (Mr. Angel (my best friend and cat who passed a couple years back) and Missy, the little flirt who fell in love with you and Dustin.
I honestly don't know what to say, other than I'm very sorry for your loss of Diamond. One thing I do know is that he's always with you and will eventually bring a smile to you face as you go through life and remember the things he did! Diamond will be riding with you on each and every ride, in spirit. Keep him close to your heart and he'll always help you through life.

Sorry to hear about your friend..
I've been there too... no joy.
What is amazing is just how attached you can become to a pet... and how much it hurts to lose one.
Take your time and find a new friend. There are NO replacements, only new relationships. My new friend is WAY different than his predecessor, but he makes me happy.
Big ole fuzzy Maine Coon cat, the last one was an adopted feral cat.. had him from plastic baby bottle feeding stage until he was 17 yrs, 9 mos.
Presently 3 dogs, 6 cats - and they're ALL special in their own way.
