This has always been a very relaxing ride. It's great fun to see old friends and make some new ones.

At HollyWEIRD, All bikes are welcome, but we really like the freaky ones.
1st meet-up is at the Hollywood Library, right on Hollywood Blvd, just east of 1-95.
We will meet at 1:00 and ride out from the Library at 2:00.
Second stop is at Hollywood beach BLUE WALL then we make a stop at MargaritaVille's public restrooms. . then another stop at FOOD KING by Ocean's 13 for sandwiches, and refreshments. This is also a good time to take a dip in the ocean.
We then ride on to the photo op, the pier... and then we start heading back home.
Some riders park their cars at the Dania Pier parking lot and leave from there.
On the way back to the Library we usually stop for some garlic knots and pizza along the way. Live music starts at 7:00 at Margaritaville...
National Rubber Ducky Day gets its date from Sesame Street, when Ernie said the toy’s birthday was on January 13. He loved the duck so much, and made sure it was always there as a bath time staple. His famous Rubber Duckie song became such a hit that it even reached number 16 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart in 1970.
On January 10, 1992, close to 29,000 Friendly Floatees from a Chinese factory washed off a ship. Friendly Floatees are bathtub toys, and the ones that fell off the ship consisted of yellow ducks, blue turtles, red beavers, and green frogs. Many of the toys floated south and ended up in Australia, South America, and Indonesia. 10,000 went up to Alaska and then circled back towards Japan. Some even became trapped in Arctic ice in the Bering Strait. They moved through it at the pace of about a mile a day, and made it to the North Atlantic in 2000. Some arrived on the Eastern coast of the United States and Canada around 2003 and 2004, and most of the rest of them arrived in the United Kingdom in 2007.
So NOW the Rubber Duckies will descend on HollyWEIRD bike ride #170!! on 1.13.24
Hope to see you there!
