I'm picking up this 6 speed Trike today for $100 Not sure if I wanna chop it just for the axle to use on my other trike I'm building , or modify it , once I have it here and look at it from different angles, I;ll know wat to do with it, might just use it for going to the grocery store, saves me from fighting over a parking spot with my car. I dont care much for the axles ive seen online plus, they are too expensive as well. This will be the 2nd trike I bought for $100. I used the other one just for the axle, too bad both trikes have 24" wheels, and buying new 20" wheels to fit the axle is also expensive so, i'm just gonna take a pair if front rims, remove the axles and hog out the hubs to fit a 3/4" axle Here's the axle I took off the last trike I bought.

Picked up the new trike today, took it for a test spin, its got a Brand new seat with a built in flashing strobing lite in it. Has a bit of rust on the wheels but, I have another set made for it in my garage but, i still may put some 20" wheels on it and change the handlebars, the seat post was bent so, i have to cut it so it fits in the post hole., I dont like fenders so, I'm either gonna remove them or cut them to look cool,. Still not sure if I wanna use the rear axle for one of my other trikes, or just customize the trike the way it is, the rear axle can be removed, like one of them conversion trike axles.

been modifying the trike so it dont look so much like a girls bike, first, I took most of it apart and I removed the basket and I added a cross bar and a few other goodies , I'll post some pics when its finished, just have to do a few more things to it.Here's a few teaser pics. was looking for some tubes to lengthen the forks but might have to stick with the regular forks that came on the bike. I wanted more of a 70's old school chopper look. Im not gonna remove any of the brackets or cut the frame in case I decide to sell the bike in the future, it can be brought back to origional condition. I'd like to have some kind of small box in the back to put stuff in .

From Grocery getter to Go Getter
I did a bit of work on my new trike. Its still not finished, some stuff is temporary. I'm still gonna change a few things. So far, I've changed the handlebars for taller ones ,added a banana seat and sissy bar , changed the wheels and made a cross bar for it. I had to make my own hubs for the rear wheels to fit the 5/8" axle because, the wheels were 20" front wheels I had laying around so , I made some bushings for them. I didn't like the 24" wheels , I felt the bike a bit too wobbly when I took it for a ride. Besides, I think 20" wheels look so much better. I lengthened the sissy bar with same size tubing. I had to make a bracket to hold the lower end of the sissy bar to the frame. I'm still not sure if I want fenders on it but, if i do , I'll have to modify some old fenders I have laying around . I'm trying to keep everything in tact on the frame in case I decide to return the trike to its original condition. I wont be doing any welding or cutting on the frame itself. I plan on doing something with the forks soon as well. More or less , I just pimped it out with parts you can get at most bike shops. I was thinking about adding some kind of box or smaller basket on the rear . I messed around with a different size boxes to get an idea of what it might look like. I actually prefer the bare bones look. Makes it look more like it came out of the factory that way. It would have been a lot easier to just buy wheels and sissy bar except. I'm broke and had all kinds of parts and supplies in the garage that were taking up space.
Here's some BEFORE and AFTER pics.
