i had been keeping an eye on the walmart site because they put the beast on sale over thanksgiving weekend last year. this time they waited til cyber monday. i had a gift card like last year so that knocked some off too. i had also been keeping an eye on craigslist for something else, but browsing bikes while i was there, and saw the coker monster. i figured this was best chance of getting one (pretty good price and having some money at the same time) made a 200ml round trip to get it this morning. i'm still trying to finish some old projects before i start something new, so they'll both be unaltered cruisers for a while. the coker i mean not mess with at all, unless i get really brave.

Wow! Lucky boy are you! I so want a Monster and a spare set of those tires and wheels! The 'goose is cool too! Any plans or just leaving them intact?

i really want to keep myself (and suzzzy) away from the monster. for now i'm thinking make a try at a frame from scratch, or the rear section anyway (to try a 36" rear, 26-29" front i think) so i could borrow the back wheel and not mess with the original frame.
the mongoose i think will be an off road cargo bike project in the future. i found out you can get the dolomite rear wheel from pacific, so later, if they sell it, i may try to get that 20" wheel off the kids 7sp fat bike and make a edgerunner type longtail (i already have a name for it. clutch cargo 3, billy goat strut). being that it would be easier than the monster to get another, it's stock days are numbered, but i still mean to wait a while before i start.

Yeah don't screw with the Monster Frame. Those things are gonna be big collectibles in a few more years. Pack it away but use those tires and rims for a new build, just take care of them. Sooo Cool that you got one!

well, about a month after seeing the monster and getting it, another popped up in the same city. risking finacial ruin, i got it too.
it's not in as nice a condition but i don't mind. now there's one for me, and one for suzzzy.

Think you spelled my name wrong ....... it's J-I-M not S-U-Z-Z-Z-Y. Don't feel too bad about the spelling. Just send me the damn bike!

oh no, you think i'm crossing suzzzy you're out of your mind. if her monster disappears she'll take mine, or come up there and cut that one and anything else she can get her blade on you've got around.
truthfully, that's why i have so many projects. i forget to take her blade out and leave her to her own devices. most of my projects are really me trying to piece something back together to ride from my bikes she cuts up.
