The Michigan Antique Festival is on May 30-31 up in the Midland county fairgrounds. It has been going on for years and I have went to the June show for awhile. There is some bikes there and LOTS of other items. One side is mostly car related, the other side is mostly household related and then in the middle is a car show and a car for sale lot. So there is something for the whole family!! I like it and am normally there selling some auto parts and other items I do not need. Selling my old projects and buying some new projects!! I will be there about by the grand stands I will be trying out my new to me Mongoose Z350 scooter. snowworks

Well the weather at the Michigan Antique Festival was BAD.... Friday setting up was sweating and got rained on. Saturday no rain in the morning, showers mid day and then steady rain all afternoon, Got soaked to the bone. Sunday morning windy and COLD. Did not bring many warm clothes so froze for most of the day. After 2PM there was not really many people so started to pack up, after 3pm the wind backed down and the sun came out. GREAT to pack up!! So I did not sell much bearly enough to pay for the spot. There was an abundant supply of late bikes and some of the classics. I did roll home with another Bike.. A RUSTY OCC Stingray.. It was a chrome one but now it is just rust. $20. It was worth it.. Might cut it up for a project in mind, or strip it and paint the frame black and ride it. Now I got 2 of the OCC Sting Ray's and one Manta Ray.. Getting to many projects again.... But it is just one more BIKE!!!

I got up to pouring rain, but still thought about coming out. Then I looked at the weather info and went back to bed. This was the first year that I remembered it all the way to the date. Sucked. Sorry to hear that you had such crappy weather, but at least you survived and adopted a new two wheeled baby. We're thinking about going to Lansing on July 17th for the Old Town ScrapFest. Just gonna check it out this year, but might enter next year. Is this something you might be interested in? Maybe we could meet up and do a ride afterwards? www.oldtownscrapfest.org/2015I'll create a separate thread for the event, so it will be easier to find.

Scrapfest Sounds like my backyard!! It sounds like it could be fun but I do not think I will make it. I have not been doing very much bike stuff lately. Should be able to do some this comming week. Need to get the Manta Ray back together and cleaned up. Been doing some clean up on it. Later
