It is amazing how much things have changed since our last ride on 3.14 . Check out last month's pics - what a ride! Our Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is closed.
Our usual Hollyweird ride on the second Saturday of the month for April is CANCELLED.
We will reschedule the Hollyweird #139 ride when we are able.
Be safe ride alone.
The motto for this website is: freakbike nation - No matter where you're from - We ride as one. It has a new meaning in these hard times.
I got into this hobby during hard financial times because it was fun to play with junk bikes.
If you have some free time, look around you and find something to make a freak bike. Let your imagination soar! Bring it to the next ride!
I will look forward to the Awesomeness of the next time I see you.
Chop On!

Still no Hollyweird ride for this month.
210,000 Americans have died since our last ride.
People in my own circle of family and friends have gotten sick and died.
I'm not ready to put Hollyweird riders in any danger. The group rides are not even legally possible now anyway.
We are all looking forward to the day when we can breathe on each other.
---------------
Not having the ride for seven months has made me realize just how nice it was to have Hollyweird a monthly ride.
A bunch of cool people getting together without much fuss. A good time was guaranteed and it was fun looking forward to the rides.
I sure do miss all the friends I have made over the past 11 years of Hollyweird. I will look forward to the day when we can all hug it out again.
Keep careful, keep safe. Don't let your guard down. Cover your face!
Your friend Junkman

It's a sign of the times when there is no Hollyweird. Myself, i've been missing it for 2 reasons. My M-F occasionally needs me on Saturday and when I'm released, it may not be in time to make the train to Hollywood for the meet up. The other reason is trying to minimize my exposure to throngs of people. Maybe a 3rd reason is if i DO get infected, and am asymptomatic, I don't want to be a spreader. On a good note, I KNOW there is a day coming where we can return to yelling drinking singing with new friends without worrying about killing someone. Current situation is sad, BUT there is a sun ready to rise on the horizon to light up a new day of drinking beers, riding bikes, and making new friends. TIII
